AML LODGE OPENING A GREAT SUCCESS
The Campaign celebrated the Grand Opening of the new AML Lodge this past weekend with a celebratory Ribbon Cutting on Friday morning, and an Open House on Saturday followed by a reception in the evening. We had over 150 people at the Ribbon Cutting and over 200 at the Open House reception. Attendees included donors and supporters of all types as well as Vermont Adaptive and Killington/Pico Resort Staff, PSEF and VASS Board Members, Pico Ski Club Members and many reporters and photographers. Thank you all for helping us celebrate and for helping us make it this far. Enjoy the photos posted on Facebook at both of our organizational pages.

POWDR CORP DONATES $50,000 AT RIBBON CUTTING
It was a huge surprise to all everyone when Mike Solimano backed away from the podium in the middle of his speech on Friday and unwrapped a giant check to the AML Lodge Campaign from Powdr Corp for $50,000. When the ceremony began, the Campaign was estimating that it was about $150,000 shy of paying off all the construction bills for the new facility. By 9:15 AM, that number was down to $100,000.

GROOM FAMILY MATCH OFFERED
Shortly after the ceremony, leadership donor Dave Groom and his family (Groovy UVM Chill Zone donors) announced a new challenge to help raise an additional $20,000 in the next 30 days. Under the challenge, any new donations made before December 9, 2013 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20K...! In other words, your donation right now will be doubled by a match from the Groom family! If we meet that match, our new fundraising shortfall will be less than $100,000.

DONOR RECOGNITION PROGRAM UNVEILED
The donor recognition program has been in the works for several months and was unveiled over the weekend. It includes a series of plaques displayed in all the leadership donor rooms which are already in place around the Lodge. The program also includes both interior and exterior donor recognition exhibits. The exterior wall list includes the names of every single donor who has giving cash or in-kind towards the Project. The Campaign will continue to add names to the list while space allows over the course of the winter. Going forward, the minimum donation for adding a name to the exterior exhibit list is $250.

The interior donor recognition exhibit will feature plaques hung in the donor lobby upstairs in three sizes. The largest plaques recognize leadership donors of $5,000 and greater. The middle sized plaque (8 inch) represent individuals and families who have made donations of $1000 individually or as a group. The smaller plaques (4 inch) represent donors who have raised $500 individually or as a group.

To make a donation or pledge contact Lynn Boynton at lboynton@picoskifoundation.org. We will continue to accept donations beyond the construction goal which will be saved for future operating costs of the new facility to create AML Endowment fund.
