NEW APRIL CAMPAIGN CHALLENGE

OTHER CAMPAIGN NEWS

The PEAK Lodge at Pico Campaign hit the 50% mark in March when it topped $400,000 in cash and pledges.  The cash/pledge goal before ground will break is $800,000.  Total construction costs are budgeted at $1.3M.   In reaching this milestone, the parties have also begin the design phase of the project in order to stay on track for a late summer start of construction.  If the donations stay on the present course, the two non-profits plan to occupy the facility during next winter's season.

On February 18, 2012, PSEF launched the "Coach McClallen Room Challenge" to raise a $100,000 in pledges and donations in Coach Greg McClallen's name.  This Challenge was jump started with a $50,000 gift by the collective PSEF Board of Directors.  On March 31, 2012 a the PSC Racer Banquet, the Campaign announced that this Challenge had been met.  The Great Room at the PEAK Lodge at Pico will bear the name of Coach E. Greg McClallen.

The family and friends of Madi Jaurigue, a 12 year old Rutland girl who recently passed away following a lifelong struggle with hydrocephalus, pledged to raise $100,000 in her name for the PEAK Lodge at Pico.  The Program Room in the Vermont Adaptive space will bear Madi’s name.  Madi was a devoted participant in Vermont Adaptive’s skiing programs and the memory of her smile and passion for life will continue to inspire us.

On March 18, 2012, Howard and Cristine Smith and their Sushi Yoshi partners hosted a very successfull  event at Sushi Yoshi in Killington.  A wide range of support from the greater Killington/Pico area came out in force for the free sushi, great food and music and a wonderful offering of support.  The event raised $22,000 towards the project and was a major reason that the Campaign breached the 50% mark in March.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SHOWING OF SUPPORT.
