2018 Beast World Cup

On November 23rd-25th, Killington hosted their 3rd FIS Women's World Cup.  Pico athletes were not only there as spectators watching the some of the best female skiers in the world, they had the opportunity to participate in numerous activities during this prestigious international event. Here are just a few of the highlights...

Several PSC athletes participated in the bib draw the night before the World Cup, presenting bibs to the best 15 in the race and kicking off World Cup Weekend. 

PSC's Vera Martin (U19) and Olivia Burchell (U14) had the unique opportunity to interview World Cup racers, including Mikaela Shiffrin, at the Killington Cup Press Conference held on the eve of the event. 

Nearly 900 VARA parade participants had the honor of of being led into the race village by 1980 US Olympic Alpine Race Team members during the opening ceremonies: Viki Fleckenstein-Woodworth, Bill Taylor, Phil, and Steve Mahre, Cindy Nelson, Andy Mill, Karl Anderson, Holly Flanders, and Abby Fisher. (Heidi Preuss and Tamara Mckinney were also on site.)


Pico Ski Club member and KMS PG athlete Becca Clark had the privilege of foreunning again this year for one of the races.  What a thrill!!

The PSEF Annual Live & Silent Auction Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, February 16th, 2019.  This night is always lots of fun with great food, entertainment and auction items. 

Proceeds from this event help support the racing program of the Pico Ski Club.
