In May, we held our Annual Meeting where it was announced that Tom Aicher would be stepping down from the PSEF Executive Committee. Tom has held the position of Secretary since 1994, when he took over for founding PSEF member Harry Ryan. Throughout his many years of service, Tom has been the voice of the Pico Ski Education Foundation, helping to organize events and spearhead initiatives in support of the Pico Ski Club Racing Program. The PSEF Board of Directors would like to thank Tom for his unwavering dedication, support and leadership. Tom will continue to serve as a regular Director on the PSEF Board through the completion of the A Slope Renovation Project.
We are pleased to welcome Jill Cerreta to the PSEF Executive Committee, where she will be taking on the role of Secretary. Jill is a life-long member of the Pico Ski Club and has been an active member of the PSEF Board of Directors since 2018.
Other members of the PSEF Executive Committee include Nate Freund (President), Missy Karr (Vice President) and Christopher Heald (Treasurer).
Anne & Joe Jones Snowmaking Campaign
Exciting News!! We reached another milestone in our efforts to re-establish snowmaking to Lower A Slope. Snowmaking pipe has been delivered and installation is expected this summer.
PSEF and Pico Ski Club Leadership are continuing their fundraising campaign to further improve the Pico Junior Racing Development Venue. With the goal of advancing all of the PSC Race Program's preferred training and racing areas, enhancements to A-Slope on "Little Pico" are under way. It is an honor for the Pico Ski Education Foundation to commemorate the renovation of the A Slope junior skiing facility in the name of local ski legends, Anne and Joe Jones.
