About the Speaker:
Doug grew up on the slopes of Vermont and quickly fell in love with skiing and ski racing. As a U12 he began dreaming of competing with the US Ski Team at the Olympics. He was not fast as a young skier, but he continued to work hard on becoming the best skier he could be. And finally, at age 16, he began to finally find speed and win races. He credits the Mid-Vermont Council and GMVS for giving him excellent coaching, technical expertise, and the confidence to push his limits which translated into being named to the US Ski Team at age 17!
Today, Doug is actively involved in every level of the ski industry as an elite performance coach, professional broadcaster, ski celebrity, motivational speaker and product consultant. He and his wife Kelley run ELITEAM fitness programs, focused on inspiring and educating young athletes ages U10-U16.
